Biography

Camas Stredder is an active performer and music educator based in Northern Virginia. She held the position of 3rd Trumpet with the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra from 2017-2019 and has appeared with a number of ensembles including the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Baroque Orchestra, Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, and Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra. She has been featured as a soloist with the Meridian Symphony, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Indiana University Summer Band, and the Boise State University Symphony Orchestra. 

As an educator, Stredder has over a decade of experience, teaching private lessons to students ranging from elementary through collegiate levels. Her students have earned top honors in state solo competitions and honor bands, and successfully auditioned into highly respected university music programs.

Stredder holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Boise State University and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Indiana University. During her time at Indiana University, she studied under John Rommel and served as Associate Instructor of Trumpet from 2017 to 2019. She has also attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School, the Hot Springs Summer Music Festival, and the Summer Brass Institute.

Currently, Stredder maintains a private studio and is passionate about sharing her love of music with her students. In her free time, she enjoys running, reconnecting with her Idaho roots by spending time in the mountains, and exploring with her Border Collie.
